Day Students

MM2Military Mentors work with schools, local government, parents, carers and private institutions to develop young people. Courses are designed to give the next generation of adults all the tools they need to progress.  We enhance key life skills, increase employment potential, encourage individual social responsibility and boost self esteem. We regularly accept Day Students and can offer a structured, bespoke package dependant upon their needs or include them in programmed courses.

This year we are running courses that aim to achieve Awards and Certificates in Personal and Social Development.  These courses are designed to assist students in their development and enhance their chances of becoming sucessful employees and citizens when they leave school.  They are available for 14-16 year old students who normally come to us one day per week during term time.  During these courses the students will cover subjects such as:

  • Healthy living
  • Preparing for the work place
  • Environmental awareness
  • Heath and safety
  • Managing money
  • Community action
  • Job application skills
  • Sport and physical fitness

Working closely with teachers, parents and other agencies, Military Mentors develop and inspire learners, enabling them to help them reach their full potential and find their place in society.

Our Day Students come from many of the local schools including, Crofton, Bay House, Fareham Academy, Bridgemary, Brune Park and Henry Cort to name but a few.  Some of these students find mainstream school challenging and relish the opportunity to experience lessons in a different environment.  In the majority of cases their attitudes and behaviour change for the better during their time with us, which is reflected in the positive comments we receive from schools and parents alike.

Who are Military Mentors?

Military Mentors are Ex-British Forces men and women who have had successful military careers. They have a passion for teaching and mentoring young adults and now share their military training, expertise and experience with future generations.

Why Choose MM?

Would you go on a bricklaying course taught by someone who has never laid a brick? NO, now ask yourself this: would you go on a course designed to help get you into the Armed Forces or Uniformed Services that was taught by people who had NOT served in either?

Where is The MM Academy?

Military Mentors are situated next to the Bridgemary School, beside a brand new Astro-Turf football pitch.
We are in easy reach of both Gosport and Fareham by bike or Public Transport.

Corporate / Team building

Military Mentors can provide a wide range of corporate team building and leadership focused events.  They can be tailored to suit the needs of each client and we can assist you in choosing what type of event would best fit your requirements.
